New Age Belief

QUESTION: What are the basics of New Age belief?

ANSWER:

New Age beliefs include the various Eastern religions - Buddhism, Pantheism, Hinduism, etc. The main or core teaching with these religions is that people are essential good and even divine. The other focus is that we are all in harmony or union with each other and nature.

New Age beliefs have no formidable right or wrongs, and no absolute truths. Moreover, those who practice New Age conspire to have truth, even though truth is relative to how an individual feels or what they think. Here are some basics of New Age belief:

  • Jesus Christ is considered moral and good. They are opposed to the salvation message Jesus Christ of the Bible.

  • They savor knowledge and seek to think of oneself as good, moral and divine.

  • New age beliefs hold to no after life.

  • They encompass the occult practices of divination, crystals, channeling, astrologers, and visualizing.

  • New age beliefs undermine the very nature of God by implying that He is distant, beyond knowing, and He hold no absolute truth. New age belief allows for worship of almost anything, and equates people, animals, and nature as equals.

What do you think?
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?
